AFM35 Smoke Studies Fogger

The AFM35 Smoke Studies Fogger uses 35 ultrasonic piezo devices to generate 1.40 cubic meters of pure fog per minute to provide 11-12 feet of visible air flow for smoke studies and air flow characterization in clean rooms, sterile rooms, medical operating rooms and ISO suites. The AFM35 fog volume competes with nitrogen foggers for fog volume performance. But the AFM35 does not use liquid nitrogen, requiring only DI Water or WFI water to produce this higher volume of fog, adding adjustable fog volume, adjustable airflow, and wireless remote control. The AFM35 operates for about 45 minutes at maximum fog volume or up to 60 minutes at lower fog volumes. The AFM35 supports USP 797 In-situ Airflow Analysis; USP 800 Compound Pharmacy airflow tests; and Airflow Recovery Tests guided by ISO 14644-3, Annex B12; Airflow Visualization Tests guided by ISO 14644-3 Annex B7.

The AFM35 is designed with a 316L Stainless Steel body and enclosure and electro-polish finish. It is used in smoke studies and smoke tests to visualize airflow patterns and turbulence in clean rooms and pharmaceutical ISO suites, sterile rooms and medical operating rooms . The AFM35 will provide instant on/off operation as an airflow visualizer for smoke studies to monitor patterns and turbulence in controlled clean room areas.

Smoke studies and smoke tests to visualize airflow turbulence!

Fog volume is a primary requirement for a customer when purchasing a fog generator. Fog Density and fog duration of competitive foggers are not often discussed, but are important metrics for buying a fog generator. The AFM35 provides 11-12 feet of visible airflow. Fog density controls the distance that the airflow patterns and turbulence will be visible. Fog Volume, Fog Density and Fog Duration should be stated as part of a purchase. To calculate fog density, find out the actual fill volume of the fogger and the actual operational time of the fogger.

The AFM35 is used in smoke studies for airflow visualization using DI, Sterile or WFI Water to produce a pure fog to visually describer airflow, patterns and turbulence in semiconductor clean rooms, pharmaceutical ISO suites, medical operating rooms, bio-safety cabinets, compound pharmacies and medical rooms for contamination control. It is used in Pharmaceutical suites in support of USP 797 Pharmaceutical In-Situ Airflow Analysis, ISO 14644 airflow guidelines and supports the USP 800 for Hazardous Drug Compounding.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The AFM35 is used in a smoke study of airflow visualization. It is a significant improvement over other Water Foggers by providing the highest volume output of any ultrasonic fog generator sold today.

Theory of Operation: Ultrasonic cavitation in DI water, WFI (water for injection) or sterile water. Use of any other liquids or chemicals voids the warranty.

The transducer life is ~1,000 hours. To protect the transducers from damage there is a level sensor that will interrupt the input voltage to the transducer module, should the water level drop to a low level. This ensures long life and reliability.

Notes

    1. The fog generated by this device contains microscopic water droplets of DI water. AVOID USING IN IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, WATER SENSITIVE PRODUCTS AND EQUIPMENT.
    2. The fan can be turned on at any time with power turned on. We recommend drying the water cavity out using an air dry tool, rather then using the fogger fan.
    3. The AFM35 should be used on a flat table or counter, not on a slanted surface. Tipping the enclosure with water in the water reservoir will damage the unit. DO NOT OVERFILL OR TIP THE AFM35 FOGGER.

Applications

AP35 Nitrogen-DI-Water Fogger produces about 5.5 Cubic Meters fog per minute for 35-70 minutes with 12-15 feet of visible fog in the airflow.

* Use Hand Gloves, full body smock and Face Shield when filling liquid nitrogen.

AFM35 Smoke Study Fogger, 1.4 Cubic Meters per minute  for about 40 minutes with 10-12 feet of visible airflow distance.

Use DI Water, Sterile Water or Water for Injection is normal liquid used

Do not permit DI Water to go stagnant in the fogger water chamber. Drain and Dry the water cavity after each smoke study is completed.
